Does science deny faith?

So you don’t believe in God because you cannot see Him? Then be consistent.

Because you cannot see radio waves, microwaves, infrared, ultraviolet, X-rays, or gamma rays. You cannot see quantum fields, superstrings, or the invisible machinery of particle physics. You cannot see black holes—only their effects. You cannot see multiple universes if they exist at all. And you certainly cannot see your thoughts, your imagination, your consciousness, or the ideas presently forming in your mind.

Yet no sane person concludes: “If I can’t see it, it isn’t real.”

In fact, modern science itself tells us something even more staggering: we cannot see about 94% of the observable universe—the vast majority of it is dark matter and dark energy, invisible to direct observation. And the unobservable universe? We see precisely none of it.

So the claim “I don’t believe in God because I can’t see Him” collapses under the weight of its own ignorance. It confuses visibility with reality—as though the human eye were the measure of existence.

But the field of physics has already demolished that naïve assumption.

Physicists openly admit they cannot directly observe many of the entities at the foundation of their models. Subatomic particles, quantum fields, and theoretical constructs like superstrings are not known by sight. They are inferred—accepted, not because they are visible, but because they are necessary explanations of what we can observe. That is, they are known by their effects. So let this be said plainly:

The unobservable is not the non-existent. And only a deeply unscientific mind would think otherwise.

Now Scripture declares that God is Spirit—not material, not physical, not composed of atoms. God is not one more object in the universe like a planet or a molecule. God is not made from the 118 elements of the periodic table. God is not contained inside space and time.

God is not a thing. God is a personal, living Presence—and therefore God is not something you “see” like a rock or a tree. God is something you encounter—something you experience.

And this is why the demand “Show me God” is so often misguided. It’s like demanding a moral equation under a microscope, or asking someone to weigh love on a scale, or trying to photograph logic.

If you go searching for a God made of atoms, you will never find Him—because that kind of God does not exist.

Science, by nature, investigates what can be measured—what has mass, extension, quantity, and physical properties. Science deals with what can be observed, tested, weighed, analyzed, and replicated.

But God is not an object inside creation.

God is the One from whom creation comes.

Is science in conflict with faith?

Does “science” prove “evolution” or creation?

A very good book on why Darwin and scientists since have got it so badly wrong. The evidence for creation.
