God as Father

The Father

The incredible thing about the way Jesus revealed God was as “Father“

Whatever God is really like – i.e. beyond our ability to understand – he chooses to reveal himself as like a father.

He asks us to pray by speaking to him as “Our Father“

In fact the word that Paul the apostle used was “Abba” – which literally meant “Daddy” or “Papa“

So not some distant “Father Figure” but rather our Dad in heaven.

I would highly recommend the film “The Shack” as an insight into the nature of God and how “He” feels about you.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.  If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”
