\/ &#8220;<strong>Forbury Vaults<\/strong>&#8221; in Reading<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Malcolm Peirce<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"240\" height=\"148\" src=\"https:\/\/crosstownservices.co.uk\/readingboilerroom\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2017\/06\/cropped-Logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/crosstownservices.co.uk\/readingboilerroom\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/crosstownservices.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/boiler_logo_anim.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/crosstownservices.co.uk\/readingboilerroom\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/crosstownservices.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/24-7.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&nbsp; was part of the team that ran <a href=\"https:\/\/crosstownservices.co.uk\/readingboilerroom\"><strong>Reading Boiler Room<\/strong><\/a> in the early 2000&#8217;s<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Official title &#8220;<strong>Youth<\/strong> <strong>Director<\/strong>&#8220;. &nbsp; Practical role, yes looking after young people and arranging trips out, but also general handyman!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/crosstownservices.co.uk\/readingboilerroom\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/crosstownservices.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/brfront1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/crosstownservices.co.uk\/readingboilerroom\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/crosstownservices.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/lastday.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-24\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have massively positive memories of the times at the <strong>Boiler Room<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some weeks I&#8217;d be in almost every day doing something, if not praying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We had <strong>fun<\/strong>, we got <strong>serious<\/strong>, we saw young people&#8217;s lives touched and indeed changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I now have the <strong>joy<\/strong> of meeting some of these guys, now in their twenties and more, who have <strong>found<\/strong> <strong>Jesus<\/strong> as a reality in their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Penny<\/strong>, my wife, would have been so <strong>thrilled<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi This website is a personal record of images and thoughts from the two and a quarter years that Reading Boiler Room was open Those of us who were there will never forget the &#8220;White Lion&#8221;
