If it hadn&#8217;t been for Henry 8th Reading would have become a major, possibly world famous, Cathedral city.  The Abbey was one of the largest in Europe. Well worth a little investigate and a trip both to the ruins and to Reading Museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have complied a number of photos and notes over the years.
