I desperately hope that no-one reading any of this concludes that I think I have things sussed, or worse still reads into what I say more than I intend and thereby  puts me in a box!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I trust that you too are &#8220;<em>on a journey<\/em>&#8220;.  That <strong>we both<\/strong> are constantly <strong>looking <\/strong>and <strong>listening<\/strong>. open to have our minds changed, open to deeper understanding.  Willling to imagine walking in someone else&#8217;s shoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:22px\">These pages are <em>under construction<\/em> and are my <em>exploration <\/em>and unpacking of the &#8220;Lord&#8217;s Prayer&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My first thought is that this is not really the Lord&#8217;s prayer at all, but rather &#8220;The Disciples&#8217; Prayer&#8221;, a prayer that Jesus taught His disciples to pray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second is that I don&#8217;t think He ever meant us to just say just the words, almost as if they areme sort of magic spell.  Rather they are an <strong>outline <\/strong>guide to prayer.  <strong>Bullet points<\/strong> to guide us in covering what we nee to pray about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So indulge me as I try to unpack each bullet point.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Many, if not all, of the pages on this site are my personal exploration of issues, theology and ideas.
