Note I don&#8217;t say <strong>listening <\/strong>to him. They are <strong>not <\/strong>listening. They are laughing; mocking; reeling out the cliched memes; repeating the woke misinformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here is a man of West Indian heritage speaking up for the <strong>British success<\/strong> in <strong>ending colonial slavery<\/strong> and explaining clearly how so-called reparations are unnecessary and could not work equitably.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Calvin Robinson | This House Would Pay Reparations\" width=\"525\" height=\"295\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/A8MlDOPaEYw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As he rightly says, the issue should be how do we end <strong>modern day slaver<\/strong>y, not how do we pay money to people who now actually <strong>benefit <\/strong>from having been part of the British Empire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I for one am very proud of <strong>William Wilberforce<\/strong> and the involvement of <strong>genuine Christians<\/strong> in putting an end to the slavery of their day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It gets very confusing when one realises how mixed people&#8217;s heritages can be, when who you are is nothing like who you thought you were.
