The right to protest

I am reminded of the Poll Tax riots and the dilemma then that people did have a point. However is violent demonstration ever justifiable?

Terrible scenes in Bristol the night of Sunday 21st March 2021.

No justification here methinks. My personal take is that we have an organised anarchist (read Fascist) element who are out to damage and preferably destroy our democracy. First it was dead slave owners, now its living police officers.

If they thought that this would help prevent legislation against unlawful protests, they are frankly stupid!

This is NOT Portland! This is Bristol. The Spectator’s take.

This is simply demeaning. The girls on the left should simply be ashamed of themselves. One can easily imagine what they are shouting. One day they will be mothers. Will they watch their own doughters behaving like this?
I love this picture. Just look at the female officer turned towards the camera. She appears alone in a sea of male faces. I bet she’s a mum. I bet she joined the force to make the world a better place.

Possibly the fullest image coverage is here All very sad.
