Other Religions
As an essentially “evangelical” Christian I sincerely believe that the acceptance of Christ as one’s personal saviour is the only certain way to “be saved”, i.e. to gain a positive eternal life. Anyone else has eternal life, but no assurance that it will be positive. Based on that belief I must believe that it is important to tell others.
Many religions such as Hinduism or Buddhism (not strictly a religion) are not “evangelical” because the belief systems do not require the conversion of individuals to be part of the system.
Islam shares with Christianity a belief that conversion to the faith is the only way of salvation. Muslims are therefore inclined to be evangelical.
