Jews and Christian “persecution” – Malcolm in the Middle

Jews and Christian “persecution”

I felt that I needed to add some balance to what may seem like a pro-Jewish even Zionist stance.

Hasidic Jews and other strong traditional Jewish believers are a puzzle to me. Their dress is quite bizarre, though obviously full of history and meaning to them and of course their rejection of Jesus as the Christ, the Messiah puts them at odds with Christians as well as Moslems. Yeshua is not even recognised as a prophet as He is in Islam.

One reality is demonstrated in the following video footage. Israel is now a fairly secular liberal state, evidenced by Pride parades, etc. However its people are an eclectic mix of atheists, Moslems, nominal Jews and radical Jewish believers. It should come as no surprise then that the children in this film have been raised to hate Christians, even ready to attack women.

Latterly the police seem to be acting in a way that just wants to shut down any religious discourse.

It’s interesting to say the least that we have taken for granted for centuries that the Passion of Christ points directly at the Jewish religious leaders as being responsible for Christ’s death. Perhaps its a sign of the times, particularly since October 7th that Jewish sensitivities are being taken into account. Thus this year’s Passion play in Trafalgar Square will have modifications to script and dress!

Hopefully though this is not yet another attempt to rewrite history.
