Ireland

To my shame it wasn’t until 2000 that Ireland came on my radar.

It isn’t that I hadn’t been aware of the troubles, but I really didn’t know any Irish and had never visited.

Then bizarrely I met a group of Irish in Buenos Aires, Argentina! I had a bit of catching up to do! It was rather a baptism of fire!

We were at a Harvest Evangelism conference led by Ed Silvoso. Just before lunch one day we broke into groups to pray. Over in one corner a group had gathered praying round a flag on the floor. I went over to see what was happening. The flag was an Irish Tricolour.
