Aren’t all religions just different ways to God?<\/p>\n

Of course we would have to say no!        But why?<\/p>\n

All religions believe there is a God don’t they?       Yes, in one form or another.<\/p>\n

All religions believe that we have choices between good and evil behaviour and that God prefers good?   Yes.<\/p>\n

All religions believe that there are special “activities” which will bring us closer to God. Yes, but ……<\/p>\n

Most religions believe that it is possible to please God<\/strong> and live in a way that will lead to eternal life<\/strong>, reincarnation, nirvana or whatever. Not<\/strong> Christianity.<\/p>\n

Christianity teaches that you cannot please God through your own efforts<\/strong> however hard you try.  You do not deserve and cannot earn eternal life<\/strong>.   No matter how good you try to be you are so far off the standard you’ll never make it.  <\/p>\n

So what solution does Christianity offer?<\/span><\/p>\n

Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short<\/strong> of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace<\/strong> as a gift, through the redemption<\/strong> that is in Christ Jesus<\/strong>, <\/em>whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith<\/em>.<\/span>“<\/span><\/p>\n

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death<\/strong>, but the free gift<\/strong> of God is eternal life<\/strong> in Christ Jesus our Lord<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

Oh, by the way, knowing Jesus isn’t just about assuring your eternity, it is about impacting your life NOW<\/strong> and changing the world around you NOW. Neither is it about going to Church, although that will probably be a useful element in your life with Jesus.<\/p>\n
